Being a psychic in the small seaside town of Fox Harbor is challenging enough, but winter months are brutal. Not that using his clairvoyant abilities to hunt down lost pets isn't thrilling, but Lorenzo wouldn't mind a tiny bit more excitement in his life.

Be careful what you wish for?

Things get more stimulating when the charismatic Dr. Ian Thatcher takes a romantic interest in him. Unfortunately, their promising evening takes a ghastly turn when an old man dies on Lorenzo's doorstep, after warning Lorenzo his life is in danger.

Before Lorenzo can say "Give me my old boring life back, please" his home is ransacked, a fiery being tries to burn him to death, and he's informed he's the only hope to save the world.

Contains mature themes.

I liked the story itself. Some of the points were rushed to finish and I wish we could have explored more of the prophecy with maybe 2 volumes, but I really enjoyed it.

Interesting story

The story somewhat held my interest but it also seemed to drag on and I almost didn’t want to finish it, I think the premise was good but the storyline went off track, especially some of the characters who were too obvious as to their intentions and motives. Also MC1 was upset that MC2 didn’t believe in the spirit world but then turned around and acted the same way about the prophecy and his role in it. He then became so whiny about how they had the wrong person and blah, blah, blah, it was very annoying. The narrator was the best part of the story although he did read a bit slow and I had to speed him up to 1.25 so he was reading at a more normal pace. I purchased this during the annual sale so I do feel like I got my money’s worth but I’m glad I didn’t spend a credit on it or purchase it at full price.

Okay but not great
