House-sitting a mansion for the summer sounds easy, right? Until my rich single-dad neighbor catches me in a compromising position.

Hint: I’d just taken off my bikini top. He’s billionaire Ethan Carter, a living legend in the tech world and father to two adorable little girls. Oh, and he’s the kind of ruggedly handsome that belongs in a calendar with firefighters and puppies.

“Welcome to the neighborhood,” he says, grinning.

The catch? He can afford to live here—I can’t.

Differences in income and age make anything more unthinkable, not to mention he’s coming off a terrible divorce and has no time to himself. We agree we can’t be anything more, even as neighborly drinks turn into not-so-neighborly kisses, and kisses turn into…well. Let’s just say he finds creative ways for us to use my kitchen counter.

He doesn’t know if he’s ready to trust again. I don’t know if I’m ready to give my heart. But as summer ends, we might not have choice in the matter.

This was a great story from start to finish! Easy to listen to and loved hear the sexy details to go with a good storyline. I think I’ve found a new favorite author!

Great!

Not terrible not fantastic. It’s middle of the road. Not steaming hot either. Even the narrators were just meh. It’s more cute than anything. I won’t be going on in the series bc this isn’t what I typically like to listen to. If you aren’t looking for much in the way of sexy times, this is a good book for you.

I got this book (and a couple of others, which hopefully I won’t regret) because I really liked Ice Cold Boss. This book had a very intelligent female lead who clearly had no common sense. I should have started a drinking game for every time she thought about telling him or started to tell him (interrupted 25 times) about her little lie which was a nothing burger and ended up being a terrible distraction throughout the book. The author was trying to create angst/suspense but it was only an annoying distraction. It wasn’t even necessary with the OTHER thing she kept from him which actually made sense. It was insulting to the reader. I sped/flipped through the kindle version toward the end just to finish. Narrators were fine. The male lead and his kids were great, which warrants the 2 instead of a 1.

VERY close to DNF

Olivia Hayle is usually a good bet, but I did not enjoy the surprise pregnancy or the story. How do all the women in these books get pregnant on the pill? That aside, I have been on a binge with this genre for the last many months, and the genre could use different types of more mature stories and different types of endings. Not all stories have to end in pregnancy! Or a story with a millionaire who’s 32! Like the genre but wish it wasn’t so formulaic. This one didn’t do it for me.
