So steamy and sweet despite the darker themes. The last 2 hours (75%) I was reading on edge, anticipating doom. It was pretty angsty. I loved every minute though. I so was not expecting the plot twist at the end. Jaw on floor! Don't worry, no cliffhanger.

Fabulous MCs and side characters. I'm super intrigued by Cillian and Ollie. The chemistry between the 2 MCs was smoking hot. While the story may not be romantic in the conventional sense, it was super romantic in the I'll protect you sense, very swoony.

I absolutely recommend this book. I could not put it down and there were no parts that dragged. I was sucked in from start to finish. I can't wait for the next one.

This was a new to me narrator but he did a great job. He had a pleasant reading voice and sounded age appropriate for the roles. He reads in almost a hushed tone and it really suited the tone of the story. He expressed all the emotions wonderfully and brought the story to life. I did speed it up to 1.40x but I found he kept a good reading flow. He gave all the characters including the side characters their own distinct voices that suited them all perfectly. He did a great job with females voices. I definitely recommend this narrator.

Absolutely loved this! Had the signature touches and feels that I love about Riley Harts writing but with an edge of danger and some morally off characters that you still couldn't help to love. Highly recommend the audio of this one, Alex Kydd's voice is smoking hot and he narrated these characters just perfectly for the story.

I really enjoyed this book, I loved the characters and the story line, it kept me listening non stop, finished in one day. I love anything that Alex Kydd narrates, if I had to criticize anything about this book, it would be that I wish they did the narration in duet with a second narrator like Teddy Hamilton 😬❤️ Alex did a great job, but there were a few times when I had to rewind to make sure I knew which character was talking, but other than that, it was great!
Can't wait for the second book.
