Obsessed with the Obsidian Series!

This was my first experience with Victoria Quinn's books and I wasn't disappointed. I was intrigued from the beginning and she kept me on the hook that I purchased the remaining 3 audiobooks in the series and binge listened. This was also my first experience with male narrator Michael Ferraiuolo and enjoyed his performance so much that I will continue to look for his work when looking for new purchases. Lia Langola did another excellent job with her performance, though I would have enjoyed the audiobooks even more if they were in duet style. The male narrator did so much performing of the females voice when doing an entire male POV chapter that I missed the female performers voice and felt she didn't get very much airtime. It did get a little confusing at times when they switched from male performer to female performer that performed the opposite sexes voices. I go so used to one performer talking in a certain style for the other sexes character, that when the opposite sexes narrating performer took over, I had to get back into the frame of mind to their performance style. But that's my only complaint, and it's not a huge one. I would LOVE if the producers took this into consideration and had the two narrators redo the recording in duet style and re-release the series. I think it could help boost the sales as this narrating style is becoming the preferred method to listen to dual POV audiobooks by avid listeners who spend lots of money purchasing hundreds to thousands of audiobooks a year, myself included (568 purchased so far this year).

FMC is annoying

I love this series but after a while the FMC is just annoying. The MMC gives her everything, gives up everything and she does not give a little. She’s a spoiled brat and gladly let him give up all claiming she loves him. I hope she leaves her.

What an ending

Left me on a cliff hanger. Can't wait for the next one to come out.

Oh Calloway….just as I was starting to believe in you…

Ok, I want to punch Jackson. Rome and Calloway have been through so much but always work through it together. Jackson is determined to keep tempting Calloway and he really needs to stop. Especially as Rome has been nice and supportive towards him. While I understand Rome has some demons she’s fighting, if she would just be honest with Calloway, she may be able to open her mind to his needs. That man sacrificed a lot for her and the fact she’s not willing to even consider the same for him is really starting to irk me. I’m scared to listen to the last book because I was mad as heck at Calloway in this ending…here goes nothing…

best series ever.
