Scratched the apocalyptic book itch for me

Its a good series. People who are critical of the story or killing in the series, in my opinion, shoudl not read apocalyptic themed books. The main issue is the almost annoying love story that takes place... and the way one of the main characters toils with that love in a... how do I say, shitty TV novela type of way? Its absolutely possible to get past though.

Ok story. Narrator was great.

The story was not as good as the other books mostly because of the shift in character focus. Sierra was a very annoying character to follow in the other books but it wasn't bad because all the characters had equal focus, but not in this book. it was 85% Sierra and I could hardly stand it.

The narrator was great as always.

Good time killer.

The book is great background noise. I can’t give it much more. Was ok for a free listen.

it still has me

I'm lovin' this series. The characters are interesting and they have me coming back for more. Series don't always have continuity to build on. Lou Cadle is my come back author. Another great end of the world story that will call out to you, "More".

Unexpected and unnecessary female violence

I felt the first 2 were YA friendly however this one is not. Just not sure why the heavy handed implications on female violence. The book would have been just as good without turning it into a cautionary tale about SA. There was an undertone of SA throughout with a particularly graphic incident. The underlying message seemed to characterize all men are potential perpetrators of the vile act of ra**. As usual, this narrator did a fantastic job and overall the author is worth following.
