Curiosity. It’s going to get more than just the cat killed.

Sacramento has its share of spooky, crazy, and unexplained, just like everywhere else, but most other places don’t have a self-appointed paranormal investigator to really stir things up.

With an oversized sidekick, a school-skipping apprentice, and too many bad habits to count, August aims to drag the truth into the light. Kicking and screaming if necessary.

Between ghostly hauntings, macabre surgeons, and California’s very own vampire menace, the team at Blue Moon have their work cut out and it’s only late into the game they realise there is someone in the background pulling the strings.

One thing is for certain: no one is getting out of this without a fight.

The Daniel Quinn character is tiring and overdone. Move on please. This is too shallow of a formula.

Reluctant Fan

the teen girl voice was unbearable to me so I had to stop listening. I might have to read this one

Typical Blue Moon Story, narration was off to me

The story line was good, but not as good as the original Blue Moon series. The characters were a bit flat. The narrator took some time to get into the characters.

I am an avid Steve Higgs reader, but this series does not quite measure up to his normal character development.

Entertaining, but not great.

I am a great fan of Steven Higgs. I’ve enjoyed many of his books. The voice used for the teenager was caustic. It hurt my ears. I actually wondered if it was an artificial voice. I haven’t finished the book. I might try again later but I won’t purchase another book read by this narrator.

The narration was horrific.

I usually love Steve Higgs but with this coauthor it wasn’t the same. The narrator’s voice ruined it for me and I had to stop listening. 😢

Whiny narrator
