Fighting demons and saving the world wasn’t in his life plan—but Ace Winters heard the call and stepped up.

As the Chosen of a Goddess, he is one of the few people standing between the normal world and the demonic.

But as he’s still learning exactly what he can do, Ace is set upon by powerful new demons with abilities they shouldn’t have. They have strong, strange magic and push him to his limits.

On top of that, both the university and the police have their eyes on Ace, making him toe the line when he needs to be saving the town from this new threat.

He’ll need the help of his friends, including his best friend—the cute gamer geek who was pulled into this dangerous world.

Will Ace be able to unravel the mystery and protect everyone he loves? He’ll have to.

Bound for Glory is an urban fantasy adventure for discerning adults.

Book two was enjoyable with no high expectations. The story is follows the same repetition as most books around it tier. The three first girls are ok but all kinda play the same role. Narrators did an excellent job.

The power scaling is way off. The series definitely has relied on damsel in distress for most the bad guys to get what they want.

I will be continuing the series and I do want to see how it all ends.

This series is kinda the perfect mid

This book was just a bit better than the first book in this series and that’s a rare and wonderful turn of events

Very enjoyable

Overall, I like this seies, with my only dislikes being how slow the protagonist is on the uptake, and how slow the male voice actor speaks on the audiobook. I actually like all the series by this author, with the Hero Game being my favorite, and this one being 2nd. I am not a literary critic, and judge all books I read or listen to by how they make me feel. All of August's books make me dread that they have to end, and I have to wait for the next one.

I like this series.
