I’d been looking for a way to leave my old life behind, so inheriting a battered old pub in the middle of nowhere was the perfect excuse. Flying in from America, I was keen for a chance to get my head down, lick my wounds and figure out my next steps.

It turned out, though, there’s all sorts of unusual expectations of the landlord in the village of Pant-y-Giggles. From renovating the building, to learning how to brew, to embracing the Way of the Hollows, I very quickly had my hands full.

Fortunately, though, everyone was very keen to help me settle in.

Especially as the only guy in the village…

Hilarious

I love the European lore. And the characters were very good. And the narrators were amazing.

The interesting folklore aspect

I look the entire book is really done well interesting story The voice actors did a really good job of the narration can't wait for book too

Amazing new story

The story was paced well not to fast not to slow. The Mc was funny and not dumb. The side characters were all well written and their stories were unique. The story will bring you along for a story about building yourself back up and taking that next step. The story is definitely not meant for a younger audience. The sex scenes are well crafted and not overly done. The voice actors did an amazing job, especially on the female characters with the accents. I can’t wait to listen to the next installment.

Pleasantly surprised, and I truly enjoyed this one. It was fun, explored mental struggles, while adding a healing element. The characters were good, and the story was fun. Narrators were also super good and very believable. I will get book 2.

Narration, story, fantastic

First. This may be my absolute favorite slice of life fantasy. Just top notch. Second, the narrators did an amazing job. Accents, inflection. All of it. Just awesome. Third, the story was fast enough to not be boring, funny enough (I cackled multiple times) to keep it light, spiced well enough to add flavor but not overwhelm. Chef’s kiss
