Interesting read

I enjoyed the magic system and Thomas is a pretty good MC. Or at least he didnt make me face-palm too much and I even laughed a few times. The spiciness felt just right and was described well. Spiciness is an art form and the author did well painting a vivid picture. Some authors describe their scenes poorly and I just cringe when hearing it, but that wasnt the case in this book. I would like the female narrator to use more emotion or inflection. near the ned theres a part where Veronica is supposed to be angry and raising her voice louder and louder but she portrayed none of that for that part. it was at least noticeable as I dont remember feeling that before that part. Anyway, great book, starting the next one after this ^_^

Refreshing

This book is a good first book for the author. The storyline and plot are engaging and interesting. There’s good pacing throughout the story and the relationship developments are well paced for the most part. The female narrator could use work with her character range and distinction. The MC is a likable character and the spice is decent. Overall 4 stars with 5 star story.

Finally a fantasy writer that gives solders METAL ARMOR

you get 5 stars just for that. though I wanna ding a star for the mc being entirely too trusting given his hard life on the street. But not going with the leather armor trope gets you 5 stars.

hidden Gem

looking forward to the continuation of this series theres some action, discovery, and some spice. the VA's did an amazing job as well.
