Reese Sutton is every woman’s fantasy, with his crooked smile, warm brown eyes, and broad shoulders. But to me, he’s always just been my best friend. The man I rely on to have my back no matter what.

Swoon

OMG Reece is the best book boyfriend and fake boyfriend, to real boyfriend!! Callie and all she overcomes to get to her HEA is great!! Firefly is the best name ever!! Spicy and so wonderful!! This story was so good!! A must read!! 10/10

Sweet best friend romance with some definite spice lessons

I loved the characters and their clear connection. Some definite spice and sweet moments. A hockey romance gal’s dream. Relatable characters too and the performance was great!

LOVED this GREAT story! Just one flaw for audio…

I absolutely loved the story 10/10. The balance was great and spice was swoon worthy. Reese’s narrator made goosebumps live on my skin rent free. But the audiobook would have been SO MUCH better in duet form. The narrators did a wonderful job as their characters, but when they read the opposing characters line it’s pretty cringe. Had to break away from the book so many times just to laugh at the sexy gruff voice as Reese now trying to sound feminine while reading Callie’s parts. It really hurt the experience. But every other aspect was top notch.

Couldn't Stop Listening!

Reese & Callie played out one of my favorite romance tropes (friends to lovers) perfectly. They had history in their friendship so that eventually laid the best and most believable
foundation for their relationship.

That said, I did have a few issues with how Reese handled things with his ex when he was fake/not fake dating Callie.

My few issues aside, I thought these two were a great match and I loved the possessive attitude Reese had with Callie. I really hope we get more stories about other team mates!

Excellent Story

The story was fantastic. The reason for 3 stars of performance is that I prefer duet narration. Some voices are better than others when reading the opposite genders part. I like the female narrators voice of the male gender. Not all narrators are as successful. Callie Dawson and CJ Bloom does a great job with their sound version of the opposite gender’s voice.
