Great ensemble cast

I was lucky enough to both read and listen to this story. That has become one of my favorite things. I can read at my leisure and listen when I have things I have to do. And the narrators did not disappoint. They were awesome and fit the characters so well. This audio has an ensemble cast, which I just love. If you've never heard an ensemble audio before, it is where instead of having one of the main characters change their voice to voice a secondary character, there is a separate narrator just for that character's voice.

Kyleigh is a designer and works alongside her mom, who owns a very well known wedding dress design company.
She attends the wedding of one of the brides whose dress they designed. She takes along her bestie Alara.

While they are sitting at their table, Alara spots a good looking guy at the bar and points him out to Kyleigh. Kyleigh's brother plays in the NHL and she recognizes him as a hockey player. She explains to Alara that she's not interested in dating a hockey player and that her brother has forbid her from dating any players because of the possible contention it could cause.

Alara encourages Kyleigh to go talk to him, saying it doesn't have to be more than a one night thing. Deciding that she could use the distraction after what she just found out today, Kyleigh goes for it. She doesn't tell Rowan who she really is.

But what happens when once turns into multiple times and no feelings develops into feelings?
When her brother is traded to Rowan's team and she's forced to tell the truth about who she really is, can Rowan forgive her? How will her brother react?

Totally obsessed with this new series—and the narration! Sean Masters and Erin Mallon killed it as Rowan and Kyleigh, bringing all the chemistry and tension to life. And with Teddy Hamilton, Connor Crais, JF Harding, Troy Duran, and CJ Bloom in the cast, it’s impossible to resist!

From their first spark at a wedding, hockey star Rowan and wedding dress designer Kyleigh go from a hot fling to something so much deeper. Watching them navigate romance, secrets, and some juicy brother’s-teammate drama? Perfection. And let’s talk about the side characters—Ruby is a vibe, and Tweetie had me cracking up (that breakfast scene, unforgettable!).

If you love hockey romances with humor, heat, and forbidden love, Mr. Heartbreaker is a must!

Couldn't stop listening to it

Awesome listened to the entire book in one sitting. Can't wait for the next book in the series.

Starting off this new series with a bang!

This was my first Piper Rayne book, and I am excited to read more. This is a sweet and spice hockey romance. I loved the two main characters - Rowan and Kyleigh. The book had great banter and good tension. The side characters added some great humor, and I can't wait to dive into their characters with the rest of the series.

When they meet, Kyleigh knows that Rowan is her brother's friend/former teammate, but Rowan doesn't. It is supposed to be an easy one night stand, and her brother will never know. But afterwards, Rowan can't get her out of his head. They end up spending more time together. Throughout the story, their relationship grows and Kyleigh struggles with telling Rowan the truth about who she is. It's not that big of a deal until her brother gets traded to the Falcons and is once again teammates with Rowan.

Duet narration with a full cast?! Sign me up for more. Erin Mallon is one of my favorite female narrators, and I enjoyed Sean Masters as the voice of Rowan. I'm looking forward to devouring the rest of The Nest series!
