My ears instantly melt when Stephen Dexter starts talking. He has a great range to portray the MMCs of the Grizzlies. Stefanie Kay is a delight and fantastic for the quirky and unique FMCs written by Piper Rayne. Grab this quick, fun prequel novella to kick off the Chicago Grizzlies series today!

Could be good but...

This novella sets up a trio of books which I might read but will not listen to. I usually don't complain about the performances but Stefanie is at such a high ptch to be painful.

Female narrator - not a fan

Unfortunately the female narrator, Stephanie Kay was really hard to listen to. My first time hearing her narrate. It felt like she was constantly yelling her words rather than comfortably speaking them. She was too much, too much energy, volume, something! I can’t put my finger on it. Her narration just grated on me. I don’t think I can listen to a full novel with her narrating. Otherwise, the stories were ok. The red head was a pain in the asse from the get go. I’ve listen to The Nest series already and much preferred those narrators, plus the storylines and characters are way better.

A great introduction to a new series!

Stephen Dexter could read a phone book and I would add it to my library! Great narrators for a new cast of characters. I look forward to the first installment with Miles and Bryce!

I love the male narrator but the female shouts out every word. She's still good though, just needs to calm the tone.
