A murdered wife. A helpless child. And the long trail to justice

Three years earlier, Jesse Coltharp saved Marshal John Dunning’s life and became lifelong friends in the process. Now, another one of his friends needs him, and Jesse is forced to decide on staying with the love of his life or sticking by his friend when he’s needed most. This action-packed western takes the listener through the emotions of a man tested in his loyalty, fueled by justice, sharpened by the elements, and cemented by love.

Native Americans would test him. Gunmen would try him. Outlaws would taunt him. But only one person could ever tame him: Jenny Dunning.

From the best-selling author of A Man Reborn comes an action-packed, gritty, coming-of-age western sequel about love, hate, loyalty, and justice.

I’m not always a fan of sequels to great works of art. Often they are watered down and take away from the previous content. I feel I relate thoroughly to Jesse and his story and didn’t think there was a tale to be told that could polish that appreciation. I’m happily proven wrong with Buckskin Blues. I found myself laughing, sad, frustrated, and panicked throughout the duration; but nonetheless grateful for the rollercoaster it took me on. Shout out to Bower for once again feeding an inspired fan with not only a refreshing tale, but also new knowledge, inspiration, and a change of heart on sequels………. We need more!!!!!!
