Nice history of bourbon production in Kentucky

Spans a lot of information and covers a long period of time, much more than the relatively short lifespan of Buffalo Trace Distillery and Sazerac. It was entertaining to learn about the men whose names adorn the most popular whiskies today.

Dull narrator, very little detail about Buffalo Trace bourbon or its history

The narrator was very dull and hard to listen to. The story gives some good historical detail about the “Buffalo Trace” and other history about bourbon. I was hoping for a deep dive into to the BT Bourbon story along with more highlights of the Pappy history. This book was disappointing, in my humble opinion.

A fascinating story

I was surprised that this was a history of both a place, a business, and most of all the rise of an industry! Great stuff for a bourbon nerd but also a good example of marketing, business planning, leadership and enterprise. Highly readable and recommended.
