My 11yo, 8yo and I enjoyed this classic and laughed aloud. It was nostalgic for me, as I remember my elementary school librarian reading it aloud to my 4th grade class in 1994. It aged well--a little fat-shaming to talk about--but overall it is a safe story.

classic fun

Our daughters (12 and 3) loved this story. The narration was great, not at all annoying.

Perfect road trip story

Just as I remembered it, in fact even better! I just thought it was a bit longer and had more plot in my memory.
