wow, what an intense story that I am glad I found bought. i seemed to be drawn to it and and glad I used that money for this book instead of wasting it rlsewhere! i admire the writing and the narration really captuvated me and kept me listening and wow again! I will check out your other character Robyn ASAP 🤩🎤🎙️📻🎭📚

Great plot, great storyline

I love the story! Very good plot with a twist. Narrated needs some work. Lots of monotone but the story is so good I withstood it.

Strong female lead

The story was well written and kept me on the edge of my seat! The characters were believable

Just OK

Cass is back in her hometown after leaving a high-paying Chicago job for mysterious reasons - nothing to do with the plot but some of the back-story is explained.
Cass's family has a bad reputation in the town, with her dad and at least one brother being alcoholics. The town hero / football coach is murdered and a young woman with a similar family background to Cass's is charged with the crime. Cass not only takes the case but takes a personal interest in the client and her family, which becomes pretty hard to do because they are resistant and hiding information.
Cass has to use her knowledge of the town and her contacts - new and old - to defend her client.

It's an OK book - not much substance. I may continue the series if I find them on sale.

Great story narrator terrible

I liked the story a lot but it was read by someone who sounded like a computer or it was a computer not sure
