Of course I am biased about the author. This is different for her. Developing characters through interviews which up front suggests Eva is dead. Is she? This adult author needed to know teen issues and teen speak. Moira has done previous voices for. She is the bomb! Dope!? Want more on this story so I can put it in my “resolved” file.

really good YA mystery with bit of magical realism

Loved the multi-cast narration. I listened to the entire thing in one sitting! Great look at the unique pressures social media places on our teens and young adults (and adults, to be honest), and how they deal with that. Also includes insightful look at family dynamics and relationships, and the different ways in which sometimes children end up parenting their parents (as well as toxic parents).

I had a few driveway moments!

I was sucked in immediately! This book explores the expected teenage drama: relationships, social media, school, and family, adding in fame, the supernatural, and murder? So much to consider.... How will it end?!? With well developed, interesting characters and great performances, you'll be hooked... You might even find yourself sitting in the driveway to see what happens next!
