Trying to find love

The main character is going through her life trying to find a real love. Surviving and realizing real love and who is trying to use it hurt her.

I am unsure about this book. For being religious she did not seem to believe in faith or she just did not want to be alone. Why would you keep going back to someone who has cheated, layed a hand on you and was always focused on other items when you visited. Then when he father was sick why did she not travel to see him. Just dont know how I feel about this boom

Layla's Story

This is Layla's story. She's torn between an old flame of the past, an abusive ex-boyfriend, and a boyfriend that offers her a good future. Mix in her dysfunctional family and judgmental friends and you have now entered Layla's world.

I loved Layla! I loved her spirit, her outlook and her spunk! I loved the twists and the satisfying ending (no spoilers). Characters sweet and not so sweet, all beautifully defined, all so throughly human. Dialogue that rang true and made perfect sense. A plot that held my interest and moved along without lagging. I loved the narration on this audio as well! It fit the characters perfectly! Everything combined perfectly to create a throughly enjoyable experience! Five stars!

Interesting love stories

The author weaves multiple love stories into one as the heroine interacts with various men. She isn't your normal leading lady who wants to become a first lady but through life experiences she learns more about herself and the one she is looking to love.

The narrator does a good job voicing the various characters in this book.
