Another 50 shades of grey knockoff

The book is cringey and centers around an asshole rich lawyer Dom with a secret good guy gooey center and a creepy, delusional, stalker, fangirl female protagonist.

The female protagonist has been obsessed with rich lawyer Dom dude since she was a teenager and he spoke at her her school. He let her bum a cig off him. She becomes a cleaner at the practice with the intentions of hopefully one day meeting him, but if she can't accomplish that, she has a competition with a coworker about who can get the honor of cleaning his office so they can smell his seat and maybe jack off in his office. Yeah you read that right, she wants to smell his seat. I'm sorry, what?

She impresses him with her cleaning abilities and becomes the cleaning lady at his private residence. he has no idea who she is because the practice works with a premise that the help is to clean and not be seen or heard.

While she cleans his personal residence, she becomes aware that he enjoys partaking in elite escort auctions. Crazy pants female protagonist is SO desperate for his attention that she becomes an escort. He bids on her, they do the deed. the whole thing is cringey as hell. More follows, but I couldn't bear to continue listening to this any longer. I presume romance follows.

The shame is there is some good writing in here. the author has potential and sometimes the characters are well hashed out. Other times I found myself internally saying no one talks like that, and no man thinks like that, these are completely ridiculous flights of fancy that aren't particularly enjoyable.

Great if you want to hate listen to something. If you just want the smut, I wasn't impressed by the first sex scene and it took a VERY long time to get there. I love a trashy romance novel and smut, but honestly, skip it. It's one of many 50 Shades of Grey knock offs. I'm sick of the cliche asshole Dom eith the heart of gold. It's rinse and repeat and completely old hat at this point. Pass on it.

Dark, but AMAZING story

I'll be honest and say that I had to switch to the ebook when things started going really twisted to make sure I could stomach listening to this book. It's an incredibly dark and amazing story that hooked me in almost immediately and kept me gripped and in the edge of my seat.

I'm so glad there's an HEA, so don't fret and enjoy this journey with ten incredible narrators.

A Surprise Treat

For whatever reason, I was expecting this to be somewhat like Highest Bidder by Sara Cate. But it absolutely was not. Not even close. Aside from there being an auction, there’s really no similarities.

The FMC drove me batty at time, but I feel like that was the point. And the MMC, though hardened and prickish, really is enjoyable and dreamy. I did not see the last 10 or so chapters coming. I felt like the story was going one way and it went another before picking yet another direction, all without seeming unlikely or lacking plausibility. The spicy is extra steamy. 5 peppers for sure. There’s an actual plot. More so than in Bait by Jade West, and I found myself actually feeling for the characters. A solid read I’d highly recommend to any fan of Jade West, Sara Cate, Eva Marks and other comparable writers.

just wow! love the narration and love the characters. Alexander's kinky desires for bisexual exploits and asphyxiation would be enough, but ad in an awesome storyline with the girl crush to maid to pet sitter to virgin for auction to weekly girl and you've got a book you cant put down. wish this one had a sequel.

There's not enough praise that this read can get from me.
I loved every single aspect of it.

The Obsession. The Connection. The Thrill. The Angst.

Everything about this read was enthralling and captivating.

A definite must read for the depraved.
