LOVED this book!

I am so lucky to be the newest owner of Hickory Hills and after reading Elizabeth's book, it makes our purchase even more special!

The story is so well written and unique with wonderful twists and turns. It addresses an area of WWII volunteers I had no idea existed. As a WWII historical fiction fan, I really enjoyed learning about the Sand Pounders and what important roles they played in protecting our country from the Nazis.

Highly recommended book with multiple interesting subject matters woven into a wonderful love story!!

My most favorite of Elizabeth’s books!

I have listened and/or read almost all of Elizabeth’s books. This one absolutely captured my heart! My most favorite! And I live how Elizabeth has incorporated personal items and family experiences into this story. Being a Native Atlantan, I loved knowing so many places that these characters went to! Enjoy!

The secret city evolved

I truly enjoyed this story and realize that there were some history that was, in fact, true with the storyline, so I learned a lot, but mostly because I love horses, and I love how much all of the characters were described and created

Great book!

This was a well written, well read audiobook! A feel-good mystery with lots of historical references to keep you thinking and wondering! Add a bit of romance and some horses- it is hard to stop listening! Well Done.

I lovely story

I love reading about one generation looking back and learning about the previous. And incorporating horses being using to help others. Well that was just the cherry on top.
