again...this female narrator...she sounds like a 79 yr old southern woman...and how her clothes are described...I envision Myrtle Erkel being a cougar to a young Caden...thank goodness for Jakobi's narration. but im gonna stop listening and move on to the next book in the series because her accent makes her sound like a senior citizen and my imagination has her with gray hair and floral ruffles and the name Cordelia...ugh. no thank you.

Romance AND a cliffhanger?! Yes please!

Sherelle is just too much at this point. SO GOOD! This book brought a different side to the Madden series. The main character, Cordelia, is absolutely hilarious and Caden is such a sweet man. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to the love story unfold. As usual, the narrators did their thing and brought the characters to life. I will say, however, that the southern accent took some getting used to as it appeared unnatural at first from the female narrator. But it didn’t take away from the book at all. A few little twits and turns so the cliffhanger had me on edge. Let’s just say, I can’t wait until the next one in this series Book 4, Carter’s #Undoing, makes it to Audible.
