Years ago, Hadria Imperioli vanished after her father refused her mafia inheritance in favor of her younger brother. Now, she's resurfaced as Hades—ruthless leader of the Styx Syndicate mercenaries that terrorize Chicago—and she's hell-bent on finally claiming what's hers.

When her brother announces his engagement to sheltered beauty Aurora Verderosa, Hadria decides it's time to take back her mafia crown and everything else that belongs to her...

Including Aurora.

Abducted from her wedding altar, Aurora is thrilled at first to have escaped marriage to the violent heir to the Imperioli family. But she finds herself a prisoner still, at the mercy of Hadria's whims and desires.

Soon Aurora begins to crave the intoxicating taste of Hadria's lips on hers... and the wicked pleasures of a life lived outside the law.

Can Aurora resist giving into the darkness Hadria draws out in her? Or will Hadria corrupt her captive completely, coaxing Aurora to turn her back on innocence for the love of a vicious underworld queen?

Captive of the Crime Queen is part one of The Underworld Duet, a steamy contemporary sapphic mafia romance based (very) loosely on the myth of Hades and Persephone. For mature listeners.

Captive of the Crime Queen is exactly the sapphic mafia romance I didn't know I needed—but now I'm completely obsessed. This book perfectly satisfies my current villain-era cravings, delivering dark, gritty romance alongside compelling characters and a deliciously twisted storyline.

Hadria is the ultimate mafia ice queen—menacing, ruthless, and intoxicatingly powerful. Watching Aurora, who begins as a gentle ray of sunshine, slowly thaw and embrace her strength without losing her inherent softness was incredibly satisfying. Their chemistry crackled, building into something both tender and fiercely intense.

I adored the modern twist on the classic Hades and Persephone myth—dark, dangerous, and impossible to resist. Narrators Paige Reisenfeld and Aleksi Graves did a phenomenal job bringing this sinful world and its complex characters vividly to life, making the audiobook an immersive and captivating experience.

This was my first introduction to both this author and the narrators, and I’m beyond impressed. I couldn't dive into book two fast enough!

Got sucked in again! Hadria and Aurora - captor and captive - spice it up in this ice- queen mafia romance. It mainly focused on their evolving relationship... which got pretty hot and heavy!!🔥🔥

It ended on a cliffhanger, and I have no doubt it's going to be exciting in the next book!
