Welcome to the wild and wacky alternate worlds fantasy series. "I've enjoyed every book DeChancie has written!” (Steven Brust, New York Times bestselling author).

Imagine life in an ironically magical world where 144,000 doors separate fiction from reality. A place that can hypnotize even the most grounded philosophy major and deliver a fantastical rhyme to his reason. A place where a best buddy resembles a shaggy carpet, and adventures surpass a boy's dreams . . . welcome to Castle Perilous.

Castle Perilous is a 1988 Classic Isekai (surprise rift/dimension/portal travel) with skills and classes.

I was so excited to finally find these as audiobooks. I will be getting this whole series!!

Voice actor did a good job making all the characters distinct. I will look to see what else they have voiced.

FYI, these books are not an endless web series so they are shorter than what is becoming standard for this genre.

John DeChancie, Michael Moorecock, Steven Brust, Robert Aspirin seem to inspire so many new loved works however unsung. I can't recommend them enough. There books are amazing! 😍

Finally Another Isekai Classic!!
