In the storm of life, some passions can’t be tamed.

Mila has spent her life working on Stormy Weather Farm, alongside her fiercely loyal, slightly eccentric family. The Storms believe in hard work, the importance of tradition, and—most of all—love at first touch. It’s a family legend, passed down like a vintage bottle of truth: when you touch the one meant for you, you’ll just know.

Mila always thought it was just a romantic notion… until Boone.

A rugged, brooding single father with a past that still smolders, Boone has one priority: giving his twelve-year-old daughter a stable, quiet life. Love? He’s been there, done that, burned the T-shirt. Or so he thinks…until Mila.

She’s all sunshine and cinnamon, and she makes Boone ache with cravings he thought were long dead. Every time she blushes, every time she touches him by accident, the tension coils tighter.

Soon, late-night harvests turn into stolen glances, and shared glasses of wine become heated whispers in the dark. But love is risky business, and Boone’s heart isn’t the only thing on the line—his daughter’s trust, and Mila’s future, hang in the balance.

Absolutely love how Mari Carr writes! I was immersed into this audiobook, loving the characters. I was completely invested in the outcome. I was frustrated when I had to pause it. Will definitely listen again when I'll have fewer interruptions.

Jarman Day and Grace Noble are excellent narrators! Their performances were perfection. Great casting. The audiobook rolled like a movie in my head.

Caught in a Storm is the 3rd book in the Perfect Storm series. This book is about Boone and Mila and is told from both of their points of view.

Mila has done odd jobs around her family farm for a long time. Boone is the newest resident to the farm trying to give his 12 year old daughter a better life. When Boone and Mila start working together, she gets to know his daughter as well. Boone has had a rough relationship in the past with his daughter's mother, and isn't looking for another relationship.

Boone's daughter is going through a rebellious stage, especially when she is around her mother. Mila helps out Boone's daughter as much as she can. Mila and Boone's daughter form a friendship, while her relationship with Boone grows stronger.

What happens when Boon's ex shows back up in the picture? Can Boone and his daughter see what they have been missing in their life? Can Mila learn that she doesn't have to always be the one to please everyone else? Will Boone and Mila get their happy ending? I loved getting to know these characters. Seeing Boone's grumpy to Mila's sunshine, and so much more!

Jarman Day and Grace Noble did a great job bringing these characters to life in this audiobook. Mila is the "nice" girl who isn't truly seen. She has made herself small and quiet for reasons you'll learn. Boone catches her and she doesn't stop falling. Boone has his own hang ups with relationships and what he thinks is best for himself. These two are perfect for each other even if they take a little time fighting and figuring it out. When Boone finally goes all in, he is absolutely ALL IN. I loved how Mila was with his daughter and how the family rallies around each other. Mila maybe less experienced in relationships but she has read some romance and ready to explore what gets her excited. Grumpy guy finds his sunshine! I really enjoyed watching these three figure out the family dynamic.

Sucker for a Grumpy/Sunshine pairing!

Jarman Day and Grace Noble are the narrators of this wonderful audiobook. This book focuses on Mila and Boone and their "love at first touch" moment. This is a kind of superstition her family has always had that when you touch the person meant for you, you'll just "know." The narrators did such a terrific job portraying Mila and Boone. This is an enjoyable story that I definitely recommend listening to.

Returning to Stormy Weather Farm in Gracemont, VA is always a pleasure. Mila Storm and Boone Hansen, along with his daughter, Sadie, make it an even better reason to return.

I love the "lightning strike" and how Mila tries to downplay the effect that moment has. And Boone is grumpier than a bear coming out of hibernation too early about anything remotely related to romance.

I think that the thing that makes this so amazing is Sadie and the bonds she forges with Mila, Mila's family, and her dad. Coming into this, her relationship with Boone was strained. This place, these people, let her discover who she is in a safe and loving way. I love that!

The family interactions, insane 💥 chemistry, and the new adventures they embark on together make this a great addition to this wonderful series. I love it and will be back for more!

I read along with the audio book. The narrators, Grace Noble and Jarman Day, are both really good and easy to listen to. I enjoyed the listening experience. 🎧💚🎧
