Asher Aldridge became my enemy the day he decided to steal my gym.

It doesn’t matter how many years I’ve been working as a fitness influencer and trainer, because Asher is friends with the current owner of the gym I need to buy. And it’s very clear the owner wants to sell the gym to his buddy, he’s just trying to give Asher enough time to save up the money.

Asher might be all smiles and good vibes, but the over-muscled lug isn’t fooling me. I’m going to fight for this gym even if it requires a battle to the death.

My death apparently, because the owner has challenged me and Asher to compete in a local trail race—winner gets the gym — and I am not currently in fighting form.

I’m nothing if not stubborn, though, and willing to push through the pain to get what I want, no matter how sweet Asher is to me or how much I’m starting to like his face.

All’s fair in love and fitness.

The story line was okay, but the narration was terrible. Very stilted. I would not recommend it. I am also going to be very careful to not pick computer narrated books going forward.

How bad this book is

AI narration was flat, tone deaf, and monotone. If the book was worthy, I wouldn’t know because AI ruined the experience.
