Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is one of my favorite books from childhood and into adulthood
I really look forward to the idea of a drama version
However, both the mother of the children, Mimzy, and Madame bonbon were eliminated from the story completely
The narrator became Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, which doesn’t really fit with the story and makes her seem less magical
And the ending was changed, which was not necessary
It’s not a bad dramatization, but it’s not Chitty Chitty Bang Bang
My advice is read the book in the original, which is also much better than the movie with Dick van Dyke

Unnecessary changes to a wonderful story
