Good story. Family oriented. Kept my interest and want to listen more. The author did a super job

A funny and sweet Christmas story.

I liked this story. A lot. I love stories about bakeries, and it had a sad touch with Reggie’s past. I love a story about crime families and Italian families. The story was funny, sweet and romantic. I loved Reggie and all of her family. Connor is hot and very sweet. I recommend this story.
Now having said that. I listened to this on audio and usually recommend the audio over the book. In this case I am going to say the narration was just ok. It was just a person reading the book and quite choppily at that. If you just want to listen to a good story while you do other stuff, it still is ok because the story is awesome.

Loved this book, loved, loved. loved it!

Madonna mía! This book is so charming and sweet! I absolutely loved every minute of it! Being a 1/2 Italian girl myself, I got all the lingo, and author Peggy Jaeger knows her Italian! The story is so cute, about an Italian woman who made a mistake way back when she was just a young girl, got hitched to the WRONG GUY because whoops, they had sex 1 time and she got pregnant.

Our herione, voiced by Anna Marie Peloso, could not be cuter or spunkier, and I loved the new guy in her life, her Italian family (don't I know about those!) and the sweet story of how she finds true love when she's checked out of the business of even looking for it (fool me once... you know the drill)! ANYWAY, all works out so well and happy and sweet, and I have to put a danger warning on this review: don't listen or read this book unless you're close to a bakery! YUMMY! I was hungry for cake all the way through!

It's difficult to rate the story, but some of the wording is irritating. The narrator's voice is aggravating with a slow tempo and odd pauses.
