Raw and Real

I LOVED this book. this might possibly be my most favorite female protagonist in a book, quite possibly ever. I identified with Liya's personality so much. Her trauma was so real and she was so resilient. Jay was such a lovely character and I appreciated his strength and understanding. It's a love I think anyone could admire.

Cultural references for food and celebrations created a vibrant story of love and traditions and family! LOVED the strength of our jaded leading woman. Thanking the author for the rich development of additional characters. Can’t wait to read more in the series!

The narration saved this book

I had to force myself to finish this one. I almost liked the characters. I almost liked the story. And I almost liked writing.
But, it just wasn't very good.
