For 12 years, what was left of the American people suffered under the despotic rule of President Alejandro Calderon. Finally, the near-constant struggle just to simply stay alive has become too much to bear. The people are finally ready to rise up and follow someone, anyone, and fight back. All they need is someone willing to lead.

delightful

a 20-year jump in the story is fascinating. almost bringing in the next generation and the completely different form of life was very creative. sometimes same changes are a bit abrupt but fascinating characters and a creative storyline are very enjoyable.
