A futuristic science fiction novel about a police detective who is sent undercover to solve murders on a planetary penal colony.

Colony 43 Zulu is a planet on the far reaches from Earth, where convicted murders are sentenced to remain for the rest of their natural lives. The last conviction census had shown that over 2,000,000 convicted murderers are incarcerated there. There are over 800 police officers who are assigned on a two year tour of voluntary duty to govern the daily goings on of the colony.

43 Zulu is a unique colony. It is a self-sustaining planet with an atmosphere that is compatible to Earth. All convicts have had their identity removed and are gender altered to female. They are altered to look the same. The commissioner of earth’s law enforcement division has been advised that 20 officers and 47 inmates have been murdered within a six month time frame. Detective First Grade Pete Kennedy has been called in to investigate.

Either read or listen, I have done both. Great story about a man who goes through hell to find his inner most feelings; either way this story should be a movie. Great job, Carl B.
