The story of Hannibal Brinks and Stumpy Smith continues. Stumpy and Mabel get married and move into his cabin. Hannibal and Stumpy decide to take another trip to the Neutral Strip in search of feral cattle. Thelma decides that she wants to be a working cowhand and puts her mettle on display by saddle breaking a horse that Hannibal couldn’t handle. The Double D from Kansas was attacked while gathering cows in the Neutral Strip and two of their hands were killed. A young man named Bud gets wounded and smitten with Thelma. Sidney Barfield returns to his ranch to visit Tipi and her husband and is killed in a Comanche raid of their cabin.

The Circle BS heads back towards the ranch with more than 350 cows; the question is will they return with their lives and livestock.
