Ava Sharpe lost her wife five years ago and has been raising their twins alone since they were three years old. In need of change to try and move on with her life she decides to head back to her hometown of Seattle. She wasn't looking for love just trying to make a good life for her kids but then she runs into Sara Lance an acquaintance from High School who happens to be the Principal at her kids new school. She cannot seem to stop thinking about her, and her kids start to notice. Rekindling old friendships she left behind and trying to raise good human beings can be difficult but Ava is determined. She has a plan, that of course goes completely out the window once she is around her friends.

Being a fan of Sara and Eva story line I really appreciated this book. I like that It was funny too cos let face it, that show was crazy awesome

I didn't, as books are not in order and I couldn't find it online.

Sara and Ava were lovers for a short time in high school. What Ava didn't know was that Sara was in love with her. Due to Ava's family issues, at 18 she leaves without saying goodbye to anyone. She does keep in touch with one old friend. 15 years later Ava arrives back in her hometown with two 8-year-old twins in tow.

There is a little spicy mature content starting in chapter 12. 🌶️🔥

The hardest part about listening to this story, was the virtual voice. It is the bad virtual voice not only the voice itself, but lack of emotion, major word pronunciation mistakes and run on sentences.

The Nyssa al Ghul story with Sara is a bit different in the timeline from the 1st book.
The author also threw in a doctor named Lena Luther.
