The story continues with twists and turns in a not-so-distant future. Still a terrific read and series, but I much preferred the book to the audio this time.

The first book I forgave the caricature voice acting. The second book, it started to be abrasive. By this third one, the stereotyping of voices was downright annoying.

Similarly, the voice actor consistently mispronounces words. For example, every instance of "coup d'état" in the series is mispronounced, but in book 3 I actually was so distracted I started keeping a list... epaulets, autonomous, rectum... the list continues like a bad case of food poisoning...

The cruelty and of the left on full display. While I don’t think that the military would go along with shelling American cities there might be those that would stay on the democrat side and fight just to keep their jobs and not be viewed as a desperate. But at this point you have to pick a side
