Quick listen and cute story

This book is a short story. It’s an enjoyable and cute read. It’s solved pretty quickly but Charity, craft store owner and potential suspect, goes through several scenarios before running into the killer. You get to know several characters although not extremely in depth. Overall it was a quick read (or listen in my case since I did the audiobook) and I enjoyed listening to the story and the mystery solving.

Short and sweet

Costumes & Cadavers is a short-and-sweet mystery that is nonetheless entertaining. Charity throws a Homemade Halloween party for the loyal employees and guests at her craft supply store, but when one guest turns up dead, she's the main suspect. The story is well-paced, with good characters, and is perfect when you want a bite-sized mystery. The audio narration is excellent, with nice distinction between all the characters and well-done emotion.

Lies and dearh

Costumes and Cadavers is book 2 in Katherine H Brown's new series. This cozy novella was excellent. I enjoyed the characters and am looking forward to seeing them reappear in hook 2, Turkeys and Tragedy. Hate was murdered on Halloween night at a Halloween party with a blade bought st Sassy Supplies. This introduction to the series is a fun way to begin wonderful new stories.. Louise Cooley did a marvelous job as the narrator.

Engaging Cozy Mystery

This was my first experience with Katherine H. Brown's work, and I enjoyed it a lot. The book was short. The story was fun, and I liked that the author included some clues so that the reader would be able to figure out who committed the crime. I liked the characters as they were relatable. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. Louise Cooksey's narration was fine, and her voice was pleasant. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily posted this review.

Quick, entertaining book

I was able to listen to the entire book during a walk. Love the main character. I hope she takes karate classes by the next book. Her cat helped her with the mystery. Will the cop be the love interest? I enjoyed this short tale!
