Now, Bobbie is on the run, his friends dead, and himself wanted for the attempted murder of a police officer.

So when Bear Beauchamp checks on his business partner Raymond Byrd and finds him abetting the young kid, he knows of only one person that can help: Jackson Clay.

Together, they try to piece together what happened that night, but what they learn may be even worse then what's happened. Prying eyes aren't welcome in this part of West Virginia. As the group begins to uncover an organized crime racket that stretches to the highest levels of state government, they go from being the hunters to being the hunted.

But unexpected enemies mean unexpected allies. Jackson and Bear begin to recruit a band of unlikely cohorts, but time isn't on their side. They need to expose the truth before those wanting to silence them catch up, and Jackson and Bear are running out of road.
