Small-town cozy mystery with divorced sleuths

In Swanee, Kentucky, a beading class meant for healing after divorce has turned into something far more dangerous.

The Divorced Divas are a tight-knit group of women who meet at The Beaded Dragonfly to make jewelry, share laughs, and joke about revenge on the men who broke their hearts. Their “murder plots” are nothing more than pretend play—until one of the Divas’ ex-husbands turns up dead.

When Bernadine’s ex is murdered using a crimping tool from the beading shop, suspicion falls squarely on the women who joked about wanting him gone. Now Bernadine is the prime suspect, and the Divas’ weekly meetings are suddenly shut down by someone determined to silence them for good.

With another ex-husband potentially in danger, Holly Harper and the Divorced Divas put their beading projects aside to uncover the truth. As they dig into small-town grudges, bitter breakups, and secrets that never stayed buried, they realize the killer isn’t joking—and won’t stop until the Divas are finished.

In Swanee, revenge may be a joke…
but murder is not.

Many words are not pronounced correctly. Tone infections are off. It is not a regular good Tonya Kappes fun listen.

AI Narration is Terrible

Very entertaining. Absolutely hate virtual voice narration. I can’t even remember how many times I had to backup to re-hear what was happening.

Enjoyed the Series

Hated the narration. From now on if it says virtual narration— I will not listen.

The narration was horrible— pauses at the wrong time and mispronounced words .. I hated to even give it any stars.

Also, usually Tonya Kappes uses human narration that matches the characters and pronounces words correctly. Story was interesting but repetitive s-words and d-word ect ruined any enjoyment. I do love Willow the Pig. She sounds wonderful!

the swearing. I enjoy Tonya Kappes books because there's no swearing. until I read this series.
