Paranormal cozy mystery with witches and murder

When several women are found dead and the only link between them is SKUL special agent Mick Jasper, suspicion falls fast—and hard. Stripped of his badge and placed under investigation, Mick is running out of time to prove his innocence before the case destroys his career.

Desperate to uncover the truth, SKUL brings in Maggie Park, a skilled undercover operative known for blending seamlessly into any situation. What the agency doesn’t know is that Maggie has a secret of her own.

Maggie is a witch.

With an uncanny ability to know things she shouldn’t—and a little magic she keeps carefully hidden—Maggie goes undercover to uncover the real killer. As the body count rises, she follows a trail of lies, supernatural clues, and deadly secrets that point to a murderer who won’t hesitate to strike again.

Now Maggie must clear Mick’s name, stop the killer, and protect her own secret—because if the truth about her powers is exposed, she may become the next target.

A fast-paced paranormal cozy mystery filled with witches, secret agencies, and hidden magic, perfect for readers who love supernatural sleuths, light romance, and clean mysteries with a magical twist.

The virtual voice narration was okay ---- better than nothing ---- but definitely not as good as a real narrator. The story was interesting and I definitely didn't see the end coming.

So it's the computer narrating the book which I have a hard time listening to. When a person reads the different voices, you can tell who is "speaking" as their voice tends to sound a little different. With the computer doing the reading, there is no inflection to differentiate between the characters. A person can read the punctuation and adjust their voice accordingly, I'm just a few chapters in and doubt if I'll finish listening because I just don't find the computer narration acceptable.

Computer reading... not so great.
