Love this Series!

Would you listen to Crossing Danger again? Why?

Yes! I thoroughly enjoy each of Shelby's adventures, and Crossing Danger is just as entertaining.

What did you like best about this story?

This story, as with all of the Shelby Nichols Adventures, has several over-lapping plots; introduces new characters, and builds on Shelby's past relationships. I especially appreciate that Ms. Helme allows Shelby to have a happy marriage and be a normal healthy young woman. Very refreshing!

What about Wendy Tremont King’s performance did you like?

I love Wendy's performances with all of the Shelby Adventures! She does a great job with all types of voices (several male characters) and gives Shelby the perfect voice to reflect her personality.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

The scenes with Shelby / Chris and Shelby / Ramos are super sweet.

Must read

Wow I really enjoyed this book, nope make that the whole series. I just love the characters and the plot never quite ends up in the direction you think the story is going and with all the twists and turns the story takes you just have to hold on and enjoy the ride. Another must read or listen to story by a very talented author.
Shelby is called in on a private case when her best friends niece goes missing. At the same time she is working on a cold case for the police, trying to solve a ten year old murder. Uncle Joey (a mob Boss) wants her help to find out why an old friend/enemy is getting back in touch and to top it all Billy is shot in a home invasion. Can Shelby juggle all the balls in the air and put her mind reading skill to good use before things get even more dangerous? Hopefully as the bodies start to pile up and a hit man is in town.
The narrator was very good and I can't imagine a better reader for this bunch of fun characters

I Like Shelby; But

Colleen Helme has created some great characters and the series is a personal favorite. In this book she has created some more new characters that added to my enjoyment. Chloe and her father Sam, her mother Kira and her Aunt Holly; who prior to Shelby gaining her mind reading abilities had been her best friend. Billie and Dimples have also become staples of the books and are likable characters as well. The growing attraction between Shelby is interesting and gives Shelby a bit of a bad girl feel. The author is quite good at creating interesting characters. Even so there are invariably portions of every book in which credulity is twisted into positions that would strain any Olympic Gymnast. It's difficult to maintain your maturity or your dignity when you're yelling at an audiobook. Still this one rates a solid four stars; good read or listen.

The funny parts.

I liked the voices of the different characters and how they all want to protect the main character.

Exciting and fun! I can wait for the next one and the trip that will follow.
