Grief is a fickle bi*ch, and I'll do anything to escape her. That includes sleeping with my brother's very off-limits best friend.

Dominique Price wants me. My body. My mind. My soul. And he can have me—behind closed doors and away from prying eyes.

As long as he helps me forget my pain, and promises to stay the hell away from my heart, I'll be his. And for a short while, he'll be mine.

But we're playing a dangerous game. One whose rules are swiftly being ignored.

I want him. Need him. Might even be addicted to him.

Only, happily ever after was never in the cards for us. And it looks like I'm the idiot who forgot that.

Cruel Promise is a new adult sports romance with enemies to lovers/bullying themes and is recommended for mature listeners. It is a continuation of Dominique and Kasey's story. While not required, it is recommended that you listen to Cruel Devil first.

I have to say I don’t love the endings to this series. I want an epilogue. I feel like they all end so suddenly and we get no closure or assurance that their story work out. At least we kind of see Emilio and Roman stories play out in Doms books, but this one just abruptly stopped. Just meeeh

I really liked this series and loved the characters. The narrators did a fantastic job! I was bummed the last book ends with no epilogue and there are major storylines unresolved. I was so bothered until I went to read the last chapter on Kindle to make sure there wasn’t an epilogue there and the Author addresses it saying there will be a book for both Deacon and Aaron so I’m really looking forward to those!

Great series! I’m looking forward to Deacon and Aaron’s books!

I really enjoyed this series and was very invested in these last two, I really felt the 2 books really have them the time they deserved, there was a lot to resolve and it needed a good amount of time. That said I was quite surprised that there was this BIG shock moment only to have a beyond underwhelming conclusion. Then you get zero fight with his dad. Aaron was resolved with a quickness and then it was like I love you , give me a chance, I won't hurt you.... The End. There was ample time to have given all these parts the time they deserved, or made the book longer. I just feel like there was all this build up, and some huge bombs and then it was all laid flat. I was very disappointed. That said, I still recommend this series, as a whole it was really good, the author is wonderful and I look forward to the other series Ive got of hers ! Narration was great and really leveled up on the second book !

Overall good. WARNING SPOILERS !
