A fantastic trip down memory lane!

I don’t normally give out five-Star reviews. The experience has to be so immersive, so fantastic, that it’s almost impossible to sway me to do so. DC JONES AND THE ADVENTURE COMMAND INTERNATIONAL was just such an experience.

The story itself is a rip-roaring adventure yarn that very intentionally calls back to stories we played out as kids with toys like GI Joe, Big Jim, Captain Action, or the Bionic Man. The nostalgia was palpable; I could practically see the toys in front me while listening.

But it was the performance of the audio narrator that was the star of the show. Johnny Heller was the absolute perfect choice to narrate this story. His voice solidified the image of character of DC Jones in my mind, which really brought the story to life for me.

If you enjoy action/adventure fiction, or if you grew up in the 60s or 70s and played with the action toys of that era, then you will definitely enjoy DC JONES AND ADVENTURE COMMAND INTERNATIONAL in any format. But if you enjoy riveting, high-quality audio books, then this book is a MUST LISTEN. My highest recommendation.
