why make characters do such dumb things.

If Derek wanted to get Sean instead of going looking for him, why not lay and wait for him. His guys had been looking for him everywhere. Why not leak where he ca be found and even ready when they show.

Excellent

Leinè and Derek find themselves in the frozen vast land of North Dakota. The mission is not of terrorists, but of inhuman people seeking their profit and pleasure in sex trafficking. The author brought a haunting story, of the destruction. To finally killing, to stop. A story that was well done, with good narration added to it.
