I loved Dancing on a stamp. Couldn't stomach this

I loved "Dancing on a stamp", however, I had to return this book within 15 minutes of listening.
The author allegedly goes on an astral journey and meets a council of souls who have many complaints about humanity. Then goes on to an aquatic planet where dolphin and whale like creatures who also have a lot of complaints about humanity. Gone is the feeling of wonder and joy I felt when reading "Dancing on a stamp", so I had to stop and return
