great character development. very interesting storyline with several twists and turns. this author has recently captured my attention.

Complex storyline

Long passages without my favorite DCI. Don't like it when authors shove the main character into the background. :( Plot was twisty...very engaging. Narration was excellent. :)

Loves the intricacy of the details.
Detective Murrain and his team are drawn to a small,. cottage town. A boy is found dead. Soon another boy is missing.
A psychiatrist is helping a prisoner get ready to be released.
Many tangled relationships need to be unwound before the story concludes

Amazing writing to a well crafted story

I couldn't stop listening to this story. it's very well written and crafted in a way that keeps you wanting more. The narrator did an amazing job telling the story as well. I enjoyed everything about this book.
