True Blood Light

If you ever watched or read the True Blood series, but wished it was a little less, well everything, this is for you.

So cute and funny!

The narrator did a phenomenal job! I am so picky about my audible books and she did absolutely amazing! The story was perfection! So and made laugh often! I cannot wait to read the rest of the series!!

Utterly Delightful

Wow, this is unexpected! What a delight.

This book reminded me so much of the Sookie Stackhouse series, with a mixture of different vampire books I’ve read all melted into one. I can see where she got her influences from, but that still doesn’t take away from this novel itself. I downloaded the audiobook after getting the Kindle version. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to read past chapter 1 because I got terribly busy - so I decided to listen instead. It was really, really entertaining.

Books, these days of the paranormal romance genre often overwhelm the story with sex versus an actual plot (they read like porn with a few interactions). This novel did not (there was one sex scene at the end, with mounting lust and attraction throughout). Sadly, I would’ve liked more interaction between the two main characters in terms of relationship building whereas the plot was primarily focused on solving the issue at hand and what revolved around that - versus the characters budding romance. However, from what I can gather there are two more books related to their relationship (loving and marrying), so nine times out of 10 the Author is going to really work on relationship building in those. I am now a fan of this Author and I will continue with this series.


FYI - I think Ana was supposed to give us dumb blond energy. Yes she was ditzy and impulsive and did not know when to shut her mouth. If this was the Author’s intention then she nailed it. There was a reference to her always messing up and not really amounting to anything, while her brother was the golden child and town star.

So fun!

The MC is hilarious! Loved it! I can’t wait for the next one! The Narrator made me want to wait for the audio versions of all the books instead of reading the available books. She did a really good job. I still may buy the next book just to see what happens, but I hope they hurry up with the audio version.
