A hilarious, live-recorded audiobook for newcomers and long-time Sedaris fans alike, packed with the acclaimed humorist’s signature biting wit and social commentary.

If you were lucky enough to have caught a performance on David Sedaris's 2009 sold-out, 34-city tour, you already know that David Sedaris: Live For Your Listening Pleasure is a must-have audibook. If you didn't have the chance to hear it live and in person, then you're in for a real treat—this compliation includes recordings from performances in Denver, New York, Durham, LA, and Atlanta.

From the bold feral rabbits of his French backyard to the eating habits of a carnivorous bird Down Under, Live For Your Listening Pleasure takes listeners on a veritable tour of natural wonders, beginning with a fable, "Cat and Baboon," and moving on to the peculiarly American habitat of the "big-box" store.

I love David Sedaris, I have several of his books and I love his wry, dry sense of humor. I always enjoy hearing him read and I think, in this case, he seemed to be enjoying himself. I thought it was too short and not really price appropriate. But I laughed and enjoyed what was there.

Ahhhhh, it feels so good to laugh that much. I loved it. His live readings are always so special, and that's what all of these are. I just wish it were about 10 times longer !!!! Such a tease you are, David. Be assured he has many other books, every one of which are great. He would be a cool friend to have....always laughing.

Love him !!

Sedaris does not disappoint! His reading of his own work makes for perfect entertainment. Listened whole votes are being counted for the 2020 election and it was a perfect stress buster. Thank you David Sedaris your humor and storytelling is a magical gift to all of us.

Would you listen to David Sedaris again? Why?

Oh my gosh. I listen to all his books over and over again. My husband has surprised me with two of his readings. I never laughed so hard.

What was one of the most memorable moments of David Sedaris?

I love the story about his babysitters. Mrs. Peacock is my favorite. So, so southern , even I needed a translator.

What about David Sedaris’s performance did you like?

I enjoy his cadence. He has perfect timing. And he seems to share a lot of his life with us. Just glad I'm not in his family.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

Just the Beginning.

Any additional comments?

As you can tell I'm a huge fan. I love all his world travel and personal tales. He's funny to everyone. After my husband overcame his homophobia. Yes he was one of those. He loves him as much as I do.

David Sedaris .. always fun.
