Dawn That Brings Death is the second in the Mynart mystery series by Addison Michael. It begins almost a year after the first book ends, and continues with Paige’s story. Things are going very well for her and her baby, new marriage, great job, but she can’t outrun her past. This book ends of a cliffhanger and I can’t wait to read the next book. The narration by Mira Williams is great. Her performance brings the characters and story to life. I received this audiobook free for my honest review.

I was so consumed with listening to all 3 books at once I did not realize I forgot to leave reviews for books 2 & 3 of this series. In this book Paige flees to Canada where she carves out a life for herself and her child. She knows people are looking for her but she tries to stay under the radar. The tragedy she left behind continues to haunt her as the mystery unravels. There are so many unexpected twists. Mira Williams delivers a great performance.

Narrator is terribly boring. Story has some ridiculous details such as the white hot metal door to the occupied shed that is burning from a candle.

The author has obviously set a high goal for delivering a complete story series, so there is no need to rush through any particular chapter's happenings or outcomes. The pacing refreshingly takes its time to establish settings and characters and dialogue and action, crafting a fully engrossed experience with connections to the physical and emotional toll of being so close to so many deaths. Narration by Mira Williams is captivating and consistent, with well-defined voices for each player. Book 2 in a long series continues to unfold unexpected occurrences and deeper mysteries. [Disclosure: I received this title for free and listened at 2.0x.]
