Sweetpea TV series starring Ella Purnell coming out on Sky Atlantic in October!

Victim. Murderer. Serial Killer. What next?

Since confessing to her bloody murder spree Rhiannon Lewis, the now-notorious Sweetpea killer, has been feeling out-of-sorts.

Having fled the UK on a cruise ship to start her new life, Rhiannon should be feeling happy. But it’s hard to turn over a new leaf when she’s stuck in an oversized floating tin can with the Gammonati and screaming kids. Especially when they remind her of Ivy – the baby she gave up for a life carrying on killing.

Rhiannon is all at sea. She’s lost her taste for blood but is it really gone for good? Maybe Rhiannon is realising that there’s more to life than death…

I usually wait a little bit to start the next title after I finish a book, to think about everything. But I couldn’t purchase and download this fast enough. I needed to know what happens next!

I had no clue what the follow up to that ending of the previous book would look like. It was just like holy sh** what?! I was very pleasantly surprised where the story ended up going. This book felt so good and so right.

The complete tone change was really well done. Everything about the setting of the initial two books was completely pulled away from me, like I was going into the unknown along with Rhiannon. I was genuinely worried about what was going to happen next. A bit of an emotional rollercoaster at times.

As usual 10/10 narration. Amazing work with the accents and voices for characters. Nobody else could come even close to narrating this series as well Georgia Maguire- perfection.

I love how the author handles some of the organized crime stuff and how she handles the realism regarding that.

I all of Rhianon’s highs and low’s in this book, all of her happiness, joy, pain, and trauma- it’s bittersweet.

This book kind of gave me everything I wanted out of this type of story in a lot of ways. It was so cathartic and perfect.

Light spoilers:

This is one of the few stories I’ve read/experienced where the serial killer gets caught and everybody knows what they’ve done. I’m so happy the author chose to do things this way, I’m so tired of the perfect killer story like Dexter where they somehow never get caught. I love how people on the internet become obsessed with her, it’s so real, and hilarious at times. The new characters were unexpected and amazing.

Dark, creative, real, beautiful, and straight up hilarious at times.

This is a favorite series of mine, due to the pure genius of both C.J. Skuse and Georgia Maguire. After a few disappointing listens, I was thrilled to start this one. Never a dull moment throughout. I'm hooked on the complexellent Sweetpea series, and “Dead Head” is an audictive installment. Skuse's writing is exceptional, and Maguire's exquisite narration brings the story to life in a way that's both captivating and chilling, complete with a dash of dark humor. Rhiannon Lewis, the Sweetpea killer, is a devious and intriguing character, and her journey is both fascinating and terrifying. The first two books, “Sweetpea” and “In Bloom,” started this chillingly humorous bundle with welcome satisfaction. The setting of a cruise ship adds a unique twist to the story, and Skuse expertly weaves together the various plots to create an exciting narrative that’s full of unexpected surprises. Maguire's narration is pitch-perfect, conveying the darkness and humor with ease. What I admire about this series is the way it explores the complexities of human nature, and Rhiannon’s character is both captivating and repulsive at the same time. I never saw the jaw-dropping shocker of the ending coming. (Wham-Bam, WTH, Ma’am). I'm eagerly awaiting the next book in the series, “Thorn In My Side,” to see where Rhiannon's journey takes her. If, like me, you're an avid fan of suspenseful British thrillers, this is definitely a must-have. Worth a treasured credit, however, I chose this highly charged audiobook at no charge via my monthly Amazon Music subscription for the month of October. I can’t stress it enough. This is one of the most outstanding books in the nine years I’ve been with Audible. Epic, indeed!
