I think old Pelham Grenville was having a laugh. A slightly satirical detective story sending up “The Speckled Band” and other such Holmes tales. Amusing, but certainly not at the level of the Bertie Wooster stories...Still, it was fun.

Great narration. An interesting twist.
BJ Harrison has a brilliant range of voice. Good story.

Always worthwhile

It's only fun to listen to this for the sake of picturing simple soul Bertie Wooster goggling at the ripping yarn. Everything else about it sort of sucks.
The narrator suits the story's tone well, though that is not really a compliment.
It is fun to know that P. G. Wodehouse wrote a mystery, and there is no way I was going to miss it. If you don't feel the same, avoid wasting your time and money.

Novelty, but what a stinker
