Excellent Listen!

I love a great action story and this one hits those buttons. Jon Mills and Adam Gold are a great team. Jon is a very talented author, while Adam is a brilliant performer. This book is part of a series and a standalone listen. It reminds me of a combination James Bond/mafia hitman action adventure. The imagery was very well done, while the narrator added to the book with his distinguished accents for various characters. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntary written this review. I so enjoyed the twists in this book.

Likable protagonist & intense suspense!

REBORN is Book 3 in the 10 novel Jack Winchester Vigilante Justice Series which is being released n audio format at the approximate rate of one novel per month. The entire series is very popular in Kindle format and it certainly deserves the attention of audio book fans of the suspense mystery/thriller genre.

The protagonist is a former New York City mafia hit man who is trying against all odds to go straight after 4 years in prison. The author keeps these novels moving quickly as he also does a nice job of fully developing the Jack Winchester character. The plots of this novel and others in the series are well developed. Action is near constant and suspense is very intense. Narrator Adam Gold does a superb job.

Audible recently made major changes to the listener page with each change having a negative impact on the listener experience. I've managed to continue following the reviews of Audible listener Shelley of Raleigh, NC and I owe my finding this outstanding series to her recent reviews. Shelley remains by far the best Audible listener to follow for those who prefer the suspense mystery/thriller genre including police procedural, modern detective, espionage thrillers, legal thrillers, military thrillers and other sub-genres.

I started the series with this book but still found the book enjoyable. Jack Winchester is an interesting character and fun to follow on his adventures. I didn't feel too lost which makes me believe these books can stand alone pretty well. The narration was good and this was an all around enjoyable listen.

not sure who edits tge narration but maybe edit out the talker snuffking the snot out of his nose on multiple occasions. chapter 14 with roughly 4:47 to go is a big one

Working class James Bond without the charm

This is a rough and tumble version of 007 from the other side of the tracks.It is very very violent and not as elegant or refined
as the original British spy but will be entertaining to many who will not be turned off by the high body count.

In other words if you are looking for action and less words you are likely to enjoy this series.

The Narrator did a good job with the material.
