They run this town and everyone in it.

Ryder, Garrett, Kenzo, and Diesel - The Vipers. Their deals are as sordid as their business, and their reputation is enough to bring a grown man to his knees, forcing him to beg for mercy. They are not people you mess with, yet my dad did. The old man ran up a debt with them and then sold me to cover his losses.

Yes, sold me.

They own me now. I’m theirs in every sense of the word. But I’ve never been meek and compliant. These men, they look at me with longing. Their scarred, blood-stained hands holding me tight. They want everything I am, everything I have to give, and won’t stop until they get just that. They can own my body, but they will never have my heart.

The Vipers? I’m going to make them regret the day they took me.

This girl? She bites, too.

This is a reverse-harem romance. It contains scenes and references to abuse, assault, violence, and sex.

Her father sold her to pay a debt. They expected to collect her, use her up, and either toss her or kill her. She turned out to be more than they expected, more than they ever dreamed of. They were monsters. She was their equal.

Violence is not for me. V is for viper. Viper = violence. I love a good guy. There are no heroes to be found. I like rough sex but not assaults. Assaulting one another is foreplay to this group. So, obviously, this book is not for me. Except, it was. I gasped, I giggled, and I couldn't put it down. The characters possessed me. There was no redemption, instead, there was acceptance. They lived life on their own terms. They were willing to burn everything down for one another. There was a destructive beauty to each one of these characters. and together they were catastrophic. Diesel was certifiable, the other men were on the edge as well but hid their lunacy better. Roxy met each one with her own matching brand of crazy. No one compromised. There was loyalty, love, and sheer madness. It was dark, it was shocking, it was entertaining.

This was my second time with this book. The first time I read it; this time I listened. I enjoyed it, even more, this time. The audio brought the story to life in a way I didn't experience the first time. Can we talk about those thick accents? BRILLIANT. Hollie Jackson as Roxy and Cornell Collins as the men were superb. Their voices thrilled, captivated, and seduced me.

Even better on audio

The narration for this book is horrible, the same man for all the men and he is just awful. The woman is not as bad but still bad. If you want to read this book than you should just read it yourself.

Awful

I normally love Hollie Jackson. But hearing her southern drawl doing a British accent was hard to swallow. And the male narrator just killed me. I hated way he chose to narrate the voices particularly Diesel. It was very off putting. By hour 9, I was ready to bail. The story is ok. A little too long. There are plenty of steamy scenes but after a while one scene sounds like the last. This book is majorly overhyped. I hate I wasted a credit. I will not reread. Would not recommend.

Oh no...The narration is bad

This was one of those books you see recommended constantly. Half the people love it and the other half not so much. So I kept putting it off.

Then the audiobook dropped!!

So glad I waited. I absolutely loved listening to this book. The narrators brought it to life. Half way through I did have to step away for a bit. It’s a big book and I didn’t want to burn myself out.

All the other dozens of reviews can tell you what it’s about.

Loved me some Diesel but watch where you put that knife buddy!!! Roxy was a total bad a$$ and the book started off with some kick butt action showing us how fierce she is.

K.A. Knights writing was outstanding, DoV may be the start of my obsession with this writer.
